TEMPORARY EXHIBITION

from 2025.06.20

This exhibition, presented by the "Naran Khuree" Artists' Collective, delves into the profound connection between the omnipresent sunlight that sustains our world and the enduring legacy of our ancestors' wisdom. Just as sunlight silently supports all life, the ancestral wisdom of the Mongolian people has been passed down through generations, forming an eternal link.

At the heart of "Golden Sun" are unique knot script creations. These intricate knots, radiating outwards like sunbeams from a central point, symbolize the genealogical records of the Golden Lineage. They represent the ancient origins and ancestral roots of Mongolians, transcribed using a fascinating form of writing that was once integral to nomadic life.Knot script, a historical form of communication, has long been shrouded in mystery. Legend has it that it was used for secret messages and even as a spy script. While its precise methods of writing and reading were largely lost to time, the "Naran Khuree" Artists' Collective has worked to revive this ancient art form, drawing inspiration from historical traces found in divine pronouncements and ancient imprints. Historically, knot script, sometimes known as the "station master's knot," was primarily used by messengers, station masters, and nobles, allowing for both literal transcription and the intriguing ability to summarize complex events through concise knot formations.
