Volunteer in Mongolia: The Erdenesiin Khuree Mongolian Calligraphy and Art Center is seeking passionate individuals to help preserve and promote Mongolia's rich heritage.

Requirements
Minimum Commitment: Applicants are required to commit to a minimum of 30 days of service (a minimum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week).
Key Volunteer Responsibilities:

Volunteers are the vital link between our art and our international visitors. Your role will primarily focus on guest experience and center operations.

Engaging Guided Tours: Conducting clear, enthusiastic, and informative tours of our exhibitions. You must be able to interpret the art and connect it to Mongolian culture for diverse audiences.

Visitor & Center Support: Assisting at the ticket office, handling general visitor inquiries, and ensuring the exhibition spaces are welcoming (e.g., setup, checking supplies).

Content Creation: Capturing high-quality photos and short videos of the center, workshops, and exhibitions to support our promotional efforts.

Artistic/Administrative Aid: Assisting Master Calligraphers and staff with workshop support, basic material management, documentation, or preparation for new exhibitions.
Eligibility Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older.

Essential Language: Fluency in English is mandatory for visitor interaction.

Must be in good physical and mental health.
What the Center Provides
We offer a supportive environment focused on cultural immersion and contribution.

Accommodation: You will stay in a traditional, shared Yurt (Ger) equipped with essential amenities (e.g., heating/stove, basic furnishing, Wi-Fi access). Please note that this accommodation reflects a nomadic, minimalist spirit.

Provisions: Volunteers will have access to the necessary kitchen supplies within the yurt to prepare their own meals. We provide basic ingredients for cooking.

Cultural Immersion: Expect direct daily interaction with local artisans, calligraphers, and a lively, multicultural environment of international visitors.

Support: We provide comprehensive on-site support throughout your term. Upon confirmation, we will also supply detailed travel information (e.g., bus schedules from Ulaanbaatar to Karakorum).
Important note on logistics: Applicants are responsible for their own round-trip transportation to Ulaanbaatar and arranging their minimum one-month visa/entry requirements prior to arrival.

Skills Demonstration Sample: To evaluate your practical abilities and communication style, you must submit one of the following samples:

For Applicants with Art/Design Experience: Submit a link to a brief Portfolio showcasing your relevant creative work (art, design, script work, etc.).

For Non-Artists (Focusing on Communication/Interpretation): Submit one item that best represents your skills, for example, a short video clip of you explaining a topic you are passionate about.

You will be invited to a video interview via WhatsApp.

Crucially, prior to the interview, you will be sent a sample description of one of our current exhibition pieces.

The interview will heavily focus on assessing your communication skills by having you present and discuss this sample exhibition piece.

Successful candidates will receive a formal placement confirmation detailing their agreed-upon minimum one-month term and required conduct policy.
