About the event
Ink, Earth, and Time synthesizes the visual and conceptual findings of Roberto Ghezzi’s art residency "Residence of the Steppes" in Kharkhorin. Over the course of his stay at Erdenesiin Khuree in July 2026, Ghezzi investigated how traditional calligraphic ink interacts with the natural forces of the region. Through collaborative sessions with local artists: U. Tseveendulam, G. Jaakhankhuu and Sky (B. Tselmeg) and field installations across the landscape, his research explores the boundary where artistic intention ends and natural creation begins.
Roberto Ghezzi is an Italian artist whose international practice merges contemporary land art with scientific observation of organic landscapes. Through his signature method, Naturography, Ghezzi surrenders artistic control to the natural world by installing raw materials directly into specific habitats.
