Erdenesiin Khuree is a non-governmental organization based in Kharkhorin, Mongolia, dedicated to preserving, promoting and developing the art of Mongolian calligraphy.

Located in the historical former capital of the Mongolian Empire, Kharkhorin, a cultural crossroads on the Silk Road, the Center honors the legacy of the Mongolian script established by Genghis Khan. This ancient script played a crucial role in the development of the Mongolian language and culture, serving as a means of communication, record-keeping, and artistic expression.

Erdenesiin Khuree offers a variety of programs and activities to promote Mongolian calligraphy. These include workshops, exhibitions, lectures, and public demonstrations. Visitors to the center can learn about the history and techniques of Mongolian calligraphy, observe skilled calligraphers at work, and even try their hand at writing in the Mongolian script.

Founded in 2018 under the guidance of the renowned Mongolian calligrapher Tamir Samandbadraa Purev, the Center's mission is to safeguard the traditional Mongolian script, recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage. The Center opened its doors to the public in July 2021.

Through its efforts, Erdenesiin Khuree aims to raise awareness of the importance of Mongolian calligraphy and to inspire future generations of calligraphers. By preserving and promoting this unique cultural heritage, the center contributes to the rich tapestry of Mongolian identity and history.
